My name is Kyleigh Ardoin. I’m currently finishing up my last semester at LSU with a degree in Environmental Engineering. When I graduate I hope to pursue a career in environmental sustainability and renewable energy. I have experience working with wastewater management and I recently competed in the National WERC Environmental Design Competition designing a solar distillation system paired with an organic bioreactor to treat acid mine drainage. At AGGRC I work as a student worker, assisting in laboratory experiments as well as small duties to help keep the facility running smoothly. I have learned how use a 3D printer, the cryopreservation and insemination process, how to (and not to) keep fish alive, and many other things. Working along side graduate students has given me hands-on experience that is impossible to gain in a classroom. I like working at AGGRC because everybody is passionate about making a positive impact on the future of aquatics and the environment.
